摘要: Heat transfer and isothermal friction pressure drop results have been obtained experimentally for two three-start spirally corrugated tubes combined with five twisted tape inserts different relative pitches in the range of Reynolds number 3×103–6×104. The characteristic parameters are: height to diameter ratio, e/Di=0.0407 0.0569; pitch, H/Di=15.3, 12.2, 7.7, 5.8, 4.7. Significantly, higher factor inside heat-transfer coefficients than those smooth tube under same operating conditions observed. Extended performance evaluation criteria (PEC) equations enhanced heat surfaces used assess multiplicative effect. Thermodynamic optimum can be defined by minimizing entropy generation compared increase rate or reduction area.
