摘要: We investigate the nature of a gravitational two-state system (G2S) in simplest setup Newtonian gravity. In quantum description matter single motionless massive particle can principle be superposition state two spatially-separated locations. This gravity, or cat state, would lead to fluctuations force exerted on nearby test particle. The central quantity importance for this inquiry is energy density correlation. corresponds noise kernel stochastic gravity theory, evaluated weak field nonrelativistic limit. limit, stress tensor manifest as force. describe properties such G2S and present ways measuring force, one by way classical probe, other harmonic oscillator. Our findings include: (i) mass persist even systems, they are same order magnitude mean; (ii) probe generically records non-Markovian fluctuating force; (iii) interacting with may undergo Rabi oscillations strong coupling regime. simple prototypical could provide robust testing ground compare predictions from alternative theories, since results reported here based standard mechanics
