摘要: OBJECTIVES To assess the association between early parental death and risk of dementia in adult life to examine factors associated with people without dementia. METHODS/DESIGN A population-based case-control study a sample 65 997 participants from Survey Health, Ageing Retirement Europe study. Early was operationalized as at age ≤16 years. Main analyses were conducted using bivariate multivariate logistic regression analyses. RESULTS The odds ratio (OR) for individuals who experienced (father or mother) ≤16 years 1.83 (95%CI 1.61-2.09) 1.54 1.35-1.76) adjusted age, gender education.
