摘要: We purified human plasma lysophospholipase D that produces physiologically active lysophosphatidic acid and showed it is a soluble form of autotaxin, an ecto-nucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase, originally found as tumor cell motility-stimulating factor. Its lower K mvalue for lysophosphatidylcholine than synthetic substrate nucleotide suggests more likely physiological autotaxin its predicted pathophysiological functions could be mediated by activity to produce lysophosphate acid, intercellular mediator. Recombinant was have activity; specificity metal ion requirement were the same those enzyme. The exogenous in serum increase normal pregnant women at third trimester pregnancy higher extent patients threatened preterm delivery, suggesting roles induction parturition.
