摘要: With the advanced capabilities of mobile devices and success car navigation systems, interest in pedestrian systems is on rise. A critical component any system a map database which represents network (e.g., road networks systems) supports key functionality such as display, geocoding, routing. Road networks, mainly due to popularity are well defined publicly available. However, other applications including urban planning physical activities studies, do not adequately represent paths that pedestrians usually travel. Currently, there no techniques automatically construct impeding research development requiring data. This coupled with increased demand for prime motivation this dissertation focused methodology algorithms can automatically. A methodology, involves three independent approaches, buffering (using existing networks), collaborative mapping GPS traces collected by volunteers), image processing high-resolution satellite laser imageries) was developed. Experiments were conducted evaluate constructed these approaches baseline ground truth. The results experiments indicate while differing complexity outcome, viable constructing networks.
