摘要: In a prospective study, 24 fractures of the femur were treated by indirect reduction and internal fixation with condylar plate or buttress plate. The inclusion criterion was that each patients's fracture(s) should be amenable to reduction. goal study determine value biological plating techniques incorporating use distractor articulating tension device for reduction, bridging fracture zone without dissection medial cortex, calculated instability through undetermined axial compression. Most comminuted (5 type A, 10 B 9 C according AO classification); 14 subtrochanteric, 8 supra-/intracondylar 2 diaphyseal in nature. average age mean women 46 years (16-96). 4 cases open; patients had multiple trauma 6 further ipsilateral fractures. sustained motor vehicle accidents cases. 16 operative treatment performed within 36 h. All reduced indirectly, 21 put under There no cortex primary bone grafting. Secondary grafting necessary patients, while 1 (diaphyseal fracture) delayed union required interlocking nailing. varus deformities degrees present after completion healing. refractures implant failures. Full weight-bearing commenced at 14.7 weeks. Bone healing time 18.7 weeks 19 followed up.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
