摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses that barium titanate ceramic sintered under reducing conditions above the Ba6Ti17O40-BaTiO3 eutectic temperature exhibits exaggerated anisotropic growth. The anisotropically grown grains form a hexagonal polymorph and growth mechanism is dissolution of small matrix precipitation on grains, which grow preferentially in direction prism planes. Microstructural characteristics such as size, anisotropy, grain size distribution are strongly influenced by preparation ceramics. important parameters atmosphere, purity starting powder, presence nuclei, amount liquid phase at sintering temperature, time. analysis phenomena BaTiO3 may serve model system for ceramics general.
