摘要: The concept of alexithymia was scrutinized in a group female patients with eating disorders: 15 anorectics and 13 bulimics (mean age 27 yr.), plus control 21 38 yr.). Subjects were interviewed tested. In the main test an ambiguous face flashed briefly on screen opposite viewer who had to describe her impressions. To enhance ego-involvement, subliminal words (I, I ILL, WELL) presented before each exposure. Contrary expectations present used more emotional than controls. Instead, they employed alternative strategies avoid empathizing. results interpreted as indicating pronounced incapacity for understanding.
