It is difficult from extant work to assess precisely its incidence nationally home sales sector because sites reporting such data have had atypically active enforcement efforts. appears, however, selective commentary by agents practiced as much if not more than differential patterns home-showings. The consequence this rarely limit number or concentration geographic alternatives available black auditors. Nor all their options predominantly white communities typically precluded. Rather, most often constituted failure show auditors areas (and school districts) with nontrivial proportions minority residents, propensity disproportionate numbers homes currently possessing expected possess significant residents. Limited evidence suggests occurred rental apartment sector, although consequences yet be ascertained systematic fashion. Implications findings for stability neighborhoods policy are discussed.
