摘要: Lowland permeable catchments in the UK are particularly prone to sedimentation problems, on account of increased fine sediment loadings generated by recent land-use change and their stable seasonal hydrological regimes, which frequently depleted groundwater abstraction. Fine-grained storage bed main channel systems Frome (437 km2) Piddle (183 catchments, Dorset, UK, has been examined at 29 sites using a remobilization technique. Measurements encompassed period February 2003–July 2004. At individual Frome, average values ranged between 410 2630 g m−2, with an overall mean 918 m−2. In Piddle, for varied 260 4340 1580 Temporal variations each site were appreciable, coefficients variation ranging 43 155% 33 160% Piddle.
