摘要: The cat flea, Ctenocephalides felis (Siphonaptera: Pulicidae) (Bouche), is the most common flea species found on cats and dogs worldwide. We investigated genetic identity of cosmopolitan subspecies C. evaluated diversity fleas from Australia, Fiji, Thailand Seychelles using mtDNA sequences cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (cox1) II (cox2) genes. Both cox1 cox2 confirmed high phylogenetic paraphyletic origin felis. African strongylus (Jordan) nested within south East Asian orientis monophyletic supported by morphology. confirm that Australian belong to show in Australia they form two distinct clades, one with Fiji. Using a barcoding approach, we recognize putative (C. orientis). Nucleotide was higher but COX2 outperformed COX1 amino acid diversity. resolve all clades provide an additional signal. resolved identical phylogeny are suitable for population structure studies species.
