Synthesis, structural characterization and biological studies of copper complexes with 2-aminobenzothiazole derivatives

摘要: Abstract Novel copper complexes of 2-aminobenzothiazole derivatives were synthesized by the condensation Knoevenagel condensate acetoacetanilide (obtained from substituted benzaldehydes and acetoacetanilide) 2-aminobenzothiazole. They thoroughly characterized elemental analysis, IR, 1 H NMR, UV–Vis., MS Spectra, molar conductance, magnetic moment electrochemical studies. These spectral studies suggested that distorted square planar geometry for all complexes. Molar conductance data susceptibility measurements provide evidence monomeric neutral nature The behaviour ligand in DMSO at 298 K was studied. present systems stabilize unusual oxidation states ion during electrolysis. Antibacterial screening ligands their reveal show higher activities than free ligands.
