摘要: Abstract : In recent years, the antioxidant and other pharmacological properties of resveratrol, a natural product present in grapes wine, have attracted considerable interest from biomedical research community. an examination potential neuroprotective compound, we investigated ability resveratrol to protect rat embryonic mesencephalic tissue, rich dopaminergic neurones, prooxidant tert-butyl hydroperoxide. Using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spin-trapping technique, main radicals detected cell suspensions were tert-butoxyl radical methyl radical, indicating one-electron reduction peroxide followed by β-scission reaction. The appearance EPR signals trapped preceded onset cytotoxicity, which was almost exclusively necrotic nature. inclusion incubations resulted marked protection cells parallel experiments, able demonstrate scavenging involved direct competition between spin trap for reaction with radicals. To our knowledge, this is first example cytoprotection has been demonstrated kinetics be due its responsible toxicity prooxidant.
