摘要: Abstract This paper investigates optimal control strategies for the operations of a hydroelectric facility comprising two dams linked in series with common reservoir receiving outflow from first dam and supplying inflow to second dam. We obtain some interesting insights about behavior these plants compare similarities differences pump-wait-release cycle between two-dam an otherwise similar one-dam control. In particular, we show that electricity price plays more important role systems than single
