摘要: Abstract The olive originated in the Mediterranean region, and is most extensively cultivated oleiferous tree species world due to its high economic value. has been introduced China for more than 50 years, some cultivars have showed good ecological suitability. plantation of increasing rapidly. However, many trees during fruiting age low fruit-setting rates unstable fruit yields. Studies on pollination biology are important improve rates, genetic resources, clonal selection cross-breeding. Overseas much done about studies olive, which still scarce China. In this paper, we presented a review recent advances with emphasis blossom phenological characteristics, floral morphology, pollen germination, mating system, as well their impacts set olive. future researches were subsequently suggested follows: (1) Strengthen basic biology, including ratio between monoecious andromonoecious flowers main cultivars, mechanisms maintenance sexual functional differences relationship wind-pollination, (2) Both field artificial molecular technology should be combined elucidate breeding system explore physiological self-infertility cross-pollination, find determinative factors affecting compatibility various (3) both analyze comprehensively effects fertilization processes setting early development.
