摘要: Abstract Environmental contamination with hexavalent chromium (CrVI) is a growing problem both in the U.S and developing countries. CrVI heavy-metal endocrine disruptor; women working Cr industries exhibit an increased incidence of premature abortion infertility. The current study was designed to understand mechanism toxicity on placental cell survival/death pathways. Pregnant mothers were treated or without (50 ppm K 2 O 7 ) through drinking water from gestational day (GD) 9.5–14.5, placentas analyzed GD 18.5. Results indicated that apoptosis trophoblasts, vascular endothelium metrial glands yolk sac epithelium caspase-3 p53-dependent labyrinth basal zones caspase-3-independent manner via AIF, ATM-p53-NOXA-PUMA-p27 network. downregulated survival proteins Bcl-2, Bcl-XL XIAP placenta. disrupts histoarchitecture increases death by spatiotemporal modulation apoptotic signaling.
