摘要: A model describing thermodynamically driven kinetic exchange of organic chemicals between fish and the aqueous environment is developed. This considers both biological attributes physicochemical properties chemical that determine diffusive across gill membranes. Important characteristics addressed by are fish's morphometry, body weight fractional aqueous, lipid structural composition. Relevant chemical's diffusivity, molar volume n-octanol/water partition coefficient (Kow), which used as a surrogate to quantify partitioning fractions. Using this model, excretion rates, uptake efficiencies bioconcentration factors can be predicted for nonmetabolized chemicals.
