摘要: Residual stresses and surface roughness are known to be the integrity parameters most affecting fatigue life in machining processes. It has always been tried obtain a correct correlation between these life. In this study, an FE model based on damage mechanics was developed estimate of specimens made by drilling, drilling+predrill, helical milling First, hole making strategies were simulated induced residual stresses. The then exerted under cyclic uniaxial loading, while mechanic applied model. Experimental models also used modify predicted roughness. Validation tests showed capability proposed predict holed samples with maximum difference 13.1 ^. addition, crack initiation site consistent fractography analysis.
