摘要: Multidrug efflux pumps of bacteria are involved in the resistance to various antibiotics and toxic compounds. In Rhizobium etli, a mutualistic symbiont Phaseolus vulgaris (bean), genes resembling multidrug pump were identified designated rmrA rmrB. was obtained after screening transposon-generated fusions that inducible by bean-root released flavonoids. The predicted gene products rmrAB shared significant homology membrane fusion major facilitator proteins, respectively. Mutants formed on average 40% less nodules bean, while mutants rmrB had enhanced sensitivity phytoalexins, flavonoids, salicylic acid, compared with wild-type strain. emrAB from Escherichia coli complemented an mutant R. etli for high concentrations naringenin.
