摘要: Due to the high reactivity of chemical species and presence multiple potentially interfering substances, measurement oxygen-derived free radicals in biological material requires highly developed techniques. The currently employed methods are reviewed according reactions upon which they based, assays, possible interferences their use medical research. Detection emission light is a very popular method. Although it principle unspecific, there modifications measure individual radical species. only direct way detect electron spin resonance spectroscopy. Among specific assays for O2- reductions nitroblue tetrazolium or cytochrome c predominant. For detection H2O2 different techniques either intracellular extracellular determination. An array substances has been used OH. Which them most useful depends on question be answered. There also indirect that determine based caused by them; important this kind quantify lipid peroxides. In addition, thiobarbituric acid-reactive DNA strand breaks interstrand crosslinks used.
