摘要: In some pathogens, trehalose biosynthesis is induced in response to stress as a protection mechanism. This pathway an attractive target for antimicrobials neither the enzymes, Tps1, and Tps2, nor present humans. Accumulation of T6P Candida albicans, achieved by deletion TPS2, resulted strong reduction fungal virulence. this work, effect on Tps1 activity was evaluated. Saccharomyces cerevisiae, C. tropicalis were used experimental models. As expected, heat both accumulation increased activity. However, addition 125 μM extracts obtained from stressed cells totally abolished or reduced 50 60 % induction S. tropicalis, respectively. According our results, uncompetitive inhibitor cerevisiae Tps1. kind able decrease rate reaction zero at concentrations. Based similarities found sequence function between pathogens inhibitory observed vitro, novel drugs can be developed treatment infectious diseases caused organisms whose infectivity survival host depend trehalose.
