摘要: Abstract The process of infection the chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) chick embryo by Rous sarcoma virus has been followed quantitative bioassay methods for virus, dry-weight determination cellular growth rate, and sequential histological examination, using inocula differing high concentrations. Virus was found to disappear from at a rapid rate following inoculation. At initial concentrations, multiplication first detected 15–16 hours after stage took place concurrent with extreme ectodermal hyperplasia necrosis. during this phase exponential relatively rapid; furthermore increased increasing potency inoculum. Following histologic evidence mesodermal hyperplasia, began accumulate slower rate. latter similar increase in dry weight inoculated portion membrane. possible significance these observations is discussed.
