摘要: Serotonergic hallucinogens include the prototypical compounds such as mescaline, psilocybin, and LSD, representing chemical classes of phenethylamines, tryptamines, ergolines. Known psychedelics, these induce dramatic alterations perception, affect, consciousness, experience self. As first discovered in animal studies recently confirmed humans, psychological effects psychedelics are primarily attributable to activation 5-HT 2A subtype serotonin receptors brain. Research on psychedelic has provided important insights into neurobiology consciousness naturally occurring psychotic states may lead further advances development psychiatric pharmacotherapeutics.
