摘要: Selective IgA deficiency (SIgAD) is the most common primary immunodeficiency in Caucasians with a prevalence of 1/600 and generally considered mild disorder. In this study, clinical status 32 adults SIgAD was investigated compared to 63 age- gender matched controls, randomly selected from population database. The individuals reported significantly more often contracting various upper lower respiratory infections, 8 (25.0 %) having been diagnosed ≥1 pneumonia preceding two years, one (1.6 control (p < 0.001). Furthermore, were found have increased proneness infections allergic diseases autoimmunity, total 84.4 % being affected by any these diseases, 47.6 controls 0.01). This study challenges statement form immunodeficiency. It also highlights importance using PID research better detect clinically important manifestations.
