摘要: A new condensed isoprene oxidation mechanism forglobal atmospheric modeling (MIM) was derived from ahighly detailed master chemical (MCM). In abox model intercomparison covering a wide range ofboundary layer conditions the MIM compared withthe MCM and with five other mechanisms, someof which have already been used in global modelingstudies of nonmethane hydrocarbon chemistry. Theresults were generally goodagreement, but tested mechanisms exhibitedsubstantial differences relative to as well asrelative each other. Different formation yields, reactivities degradation pathways organicnitrates formed course oxidationwere identified major reason for deviations. The relevance box results chemistrytransport models is discussed, need avalidated reference an improvedrepresentation chemistry modelsis pointed out.
