摘要: Abstract Brain-stem auditory evoked responses have been investigated in 28 patients suffereing from chronic renal failure (17 on diet, 11 dialysis) during monaural stimulation with 70 dB HL clicks. These were abnormal 32.15% of cases. In 13 out 15 ears altered BAERs a normal response morphology was present, progressively more significant latency delays involving all peaks following wave I, while the remaining two some components always found healthy controls not identifiable. The most prominent abnormality symptoms referable to peripheral neuropathy presence prolonged I–II interpeak latency, those without symptomatology I–V and III–V times peak V strikingly parameters. incidence higher group treated diet than dialysed group. When followed-up hours preceding first dialysis included previous group, time significantly decreased after 26 h end dialysis.
