Focusing evolution of generalized propagation invariant optical fields

摘要: The focusing evolution of apertured propagation invariant optical fields (PIOFs) with arbitrary transverse intensity distribution is analysed in detail. A decomposition the PIOF into its constituent plane waves applied to find a simple expression normalized along axis which valid for any PIOF. It shown that presence an apparent focus close focal general property focused and it not related shift due apertures. By selecting appropriate parameters possible generate second intense peak beyond plane. Additionally, we define conditions under original can be reconstructed desired magnification.
