摘要: Type 5 adenovirus was purified by fluorocarbon (freon 113) treatment followed banding in a CsCl equilibrium density gradient. This method permitted separation of virus from normal host cell materials and virus-specific soluble antigens. Virus banded with mean bouyant 1.3349 gm/cm3. The three antigens (group- type-specific toxin) together 1.2832 group-specific antigen the predominant particle, whereas group- were present equal titers band. Infectious particles inactivated prolonged dialysis at pH 10.5. Centrifugation preparations gradient resulted DNA specific antigen: gm/cm3 sedimented to bottom tube. derived it same relative proportion as measured intact particles. disrupted immunologically identical infected cells.
