摘要: Abstract Distress tolerance, the ability to withstand physical or emotional discomfort, is thought be associated with cigarette smoking behavior and cessation failure. A systematic review evaluated studies that linked distress tolerance smoking. Central findings suggest (a) can—but does not always—predict lapse, (b) treatments targeting are promising but need additional research, (c) lower seem greater frequency longevity, (d) limited work evaluates effect of context on tolerance. Gaps in our current knowledge also identified, most notably evaluate how links between develop across escalation maintenance stages, examine contextually. model momentary proposed, where key premise discuss factors which could influence state habitual may reinforce heightened behavior.
