摘要: Abstract Two experiments are reported which indicate that prior fear conditioning of the elements a compound stimulus limits effectiveness subsequent reinforcement compound. In Expt. 1, two CSs individually received moderate amount conditioning; when they were then presented in and reinforced, neither showed evidence additional conditioning. A variety control procedures indicated each CS “blocked” to other. 2, considerable presentation followed by shock led reduction elicited component. The results discussed terms modulation reinforcer level conditioned responding present it is administered. inadequacy stimulus-selection account noted.
