摘要: ABSTRACTThis study is the first to assess land subsidence in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. Land simulations were based on a fully calibrated groundwater (GW) flow model developed using coupled surface–subsurface modelling system. Subsidence predicted occur as result of deep aquifer compaction due excessive GW abstraction. The north and north-east areas at periphery basin are hotspots for this subsidence. estimated most sensitive changes cover within recharge areas. shows Melamchi water supply project assists control some extent. In absence measurements, paper highlights location potential levels hazard which will be useful prevention management. Additionally, work provides basis design field investigations, monitoring networks upgrading present network. Although has pres...
