摘要: Two of the primary responses in a cell when perturbed are modulation dynamics its constituent gene expression and protein abundance to restore steady-state homeostasis. To obtain detailed model restoration this balance, it is necessary examine kinetics transcription translation, thus going beyond establishing mere levels transcripts proteins. In review we discuss proteomic approaches that utilize genomic tagging metabolic labeling reveal turnover for cellular proteins high-throughput manner. Novel multiplexed techniques coupled mass spectrometry, combination with next-generation sequencing approaches, provide tools studying principles adaptation unprecedented detail.
