摘要: A color separation optical plate is described which superimposed onto a transmissive LCD panel. The separates incident white light into its red/green/blue (RGB) components and guides each component through the appropriate sub-pixel (dot) of utilizes microprism array direct vision microprisms having combination refractive gradient index optics to concentrate dot separate colors. This has theoretical capability increasing panel transmissivity by as much factor six.
