摘要: Abstract Fibromyalgia syndrome is a chronic disease, of unknown origin, whose diagnostic criteria were established in 1990 by the American College Rheumatology. New proposed 2010 that have not yet been validated. It characterized generalized musculoskeletal pain, accompanied hyperalgesia and allodynia, as well other motor, vegetative, cognitive affective symptoms signs. We reviewed set studies with cerebral magnetic resonance (morphometry, connectivity spectroscopy) refer to changes areas involved pain processing. Modifications gray white matter volume, levels N-acetylaspartate, choline or glutamate, among metabolites, observed hippocampus, insula, prefrontal cingular cortex. Neuroradiological findings are nonspecific similar those found examples pain. An increase sample size standardized methodology would facilitate comparison, allowing drawing general conclusions.
