摘要: To determine whether exercise two-dimensional echocardiography contributes to the prognostic information provided by testing in patients recovering from acute myocardial infarction, 40 were prospectively studied means of pre- and postexercise 10 21 days after infarction. Patients followed for 6 months or until one following clinical end points occurred: death, recurrent unstable angina, coronary artery bypass grafting. Results treadmill tests negative 13 20 with good outcome (65% specificity) positive 11 poor (55% sensitivity). The resting echocardiogram was abnormal 37 patients. 19 (95% 16 (80% We conclude that is more sensitive specific than predicting occurrence subsequent cardiac events
