摘要: Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is a common cause for genital warts and cervical cancer. Developing countries in the Middle East such as Lebanon are traditionally considered to be conservative societies with low incidence of sexually transmitted infections. However, nowadays, there an unexpected increase HPV infections among Eastern females. Thus, objective this study assess behavioral perceptions vaccination female students attending academic institution Lebanon. This cross-sectional invited 512 complete self-administered questionnaire that assessed knowledge, attitudes, intentions towards vaccination. Data analysis included calculation knowledge scores ranging from 0 100, attitude most positive (1) negative (5), intention lowest (0) highest (10). With response rate n = 215 (42%), 36.5% never heard vaccine before, only 16.5% were already vaccinated. The median score 52.7% ± 1.71 reflects poor moderate knowledge. Still, 2.47 ± 0.05 shows general where participants agreed college have good chance contracting (62.1%) all gynecologists should recommend (76.0%). Students graduate programs, health related majors, those who vaccinated had significantly higher compared undergraduate non-health non-vaccinated students, respectively. Finally, survey helped increasing obtain increased 5.24 ± 0.27 before went through 6.98 ± 0.22 after completed survey. Our highlights importance offering guidance about its developing on rise.
