摘要: We report details of egg size and hatch, neonate weight gain, development, survivorship in field-collected families the subsocialwood-feeding cockroach Cryptocercus punctulatus. Eggs are significantly smaller than those other cockroaches, hatch is asynchronous, with a span three or more weeks between first last-hatched nymphs large broods. Dry increases by an order magnitude second instar. There substantial early mortality, small developmentally advanced at end natal year. Asynchronous C. punctulatus appears unrelated to observed mortality ofyoung nymphs; rather, proportion newly hatched offspring may routinely serve as walking trophic eggs environment where nitrogen not easily obtained.
