摘要: Lingulella chengjiangensis Jin, Huo & Wang, 1993 is one of the most abundant brachiopods from celebrated Lower Cambrian Chengjiang Lagerstatte. A detailed study new well-preserved specimens clearly shows that their morphology and preserved soft anatomy differ widely linguliforms subfamily Obolinae, including Lingulella. L. herein re-described as probable earliest member Glossellinae, which was previously known only Ordovician, referred to genus Eoglossa. Eoglossa differs species in lacking a dorsal pseudointerarea, having an elevated ventral proparea without flexure lines, lack pitting on visceral areas both valves.
