摘要: A problem associated with current bottom spin valve designs is that it difficult to avoid magnetic charge accumulation at the edge of sensor area, making a coherent rotation during sensing achieve. This has been eliminated by introducing an exchange coupling layer between free and ferromagnetic used achieve longitudinal bias for stabilization extending well beyond area. After all layers have deposited, read gap formed etching down as far this layer. Since not critical exactly how much biasing (antiferromagnetic ferromagnetic) are removed, requirements greatly relaxed. Whatever material remains in then oxidized thereby providing capping good interface specular reflection region.
