摘要: A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes communicating a plurality of queries associated with common tracking areas wireless network; identifying set serving gateways that serve the areas; generating area identity (TAI) list to be used provisioning network resources for user equipment; selecting first gateway from equipment, wherein selected based on served by gateways. In more specific embodiments, are domain name system (DNS) supported element have no cached DNS response.
