摘要: Abstract Purpose To investigate conjunctival vascular density (VD) using Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) in Scleral Contact Lens (ScCL) wearers. Methods In this cross-sectional study, the blood VD was assessed OCTA with an anterior segment lens adapter. The nasal surface of each eye (6 ×6 mm) scanned to a depth 800 μm ScCL and fifteen minutes after removing lens. Conjunctival defined as percentage volume occupied by vessels which flow measured. Measures limbal indentation were subjectively determined two independent observers (AS-OCT). Comparisons between measurements before removal correlations VD, time use, vault values also investigated. Results A total 23 patients (3 females, 20 males) keratoconus, mean age (years±SD) 38.74±10.38 included study. significantly higher without (71.75%±2.97) than measured (69.81%±2.63), p=0.02. moderately negative correlation found (r=-0.44, p Conclusions Using adapter, ocular imaged good repeatability reliability. This study presents new possible application monitor vasculature results cautiously suggest that repeated use can cause alterations conjunctiva eyes wearers, possibly due hidden hypoxia caused prolonged indentation.
