摘要: Analyses of the patterns fire in Alaska were carried out using three different data sets, including a large-fire database dating back to 1950. annual area burned statistics illustrate episodic nature Alaska, with most burning during limited number high years. Over past 50 years, years occurred once every 4 Seasonal indicated that consist larger events occur later growing season. On decadal basis, average has varied little between 1960s and 1990s. Using geographic information system (GIS), spatial distribution fires (aggregated by ecoregions) was compared topographic, vegetation cover, climate features Alaska. The use topographic allows for more realistic determination cycle eliminating areas where do not due lack above treeline. Geographic analyses show season temperature, precipitation, lightning strike frequency, elevation, aspect, level forest cover interact complex fashion control frequency.
