Internet Use and Psychological Well-Being at Advanced Age: Evidence from the English Longitudinal Study of Aging.

摘要: This work explores the connection between psychological well-being and Internet use in older adults. The study is based on a sample of 2314 participants English Longitudinal Study Aging. subjects, aged 50 years older, were interviewed every two over 2006-2007 to 2014-2015 period. Internet/Email main dimensions (evaluative, hedonic eudaimonic) was analyzed by means three generalized estimating equation models that fitted 2-year lagged repeated measurements. outcome variables, scores scales, explained terms use, controlling for covariates included health socioeconomic indicators. results support existence direct relationship well-being. predictor score scale used measure eudaimonic aspect positive statistically significant at conventional levels (p-value: 0.015). However, relevance digital literacy evaluative components could not be confirmed (p-values 0.078 0.192, respectively).
