摘要: The objective of this study is to quantify the effects of fracturing and anisotropy in the vicinity of an underground explosion on the resulting seismic radiation patterns and in particular on the generation of shear waves. Theoretical finite difference calculations show that an explosive source embedded in either an anisotropic or randomly heterogeneous medium generates shear waves, with anisotropy at the source inducing larger shear waves than heterogeneity. We review existing theories of the effective elastic moduli of micro-fractured and macro-fractured rocks to determine realistic models of anisotropic source media. Anisotropy, Fractures, Scattering.
