摘要: Abstract Corrosion of steels in a flowing Pb–Bi environment has been studied. Specimens were exposed to the melt at 300°C and 470°C for up 3116 h. The flow velocity was close 2 m/s oxygen concentration maintained 1–2×10 −6 wt % . Independent specific (Optifer IV, T91 EP823 martensitic steels, 1.4970 austenitic steel), no sign dissolution detected either temperatures. In all cases, protective oxide layer formed on steel surface. It very thin (thickness ≪1 μm ) case steel, which presented maximum resistance oxidation Pb–Bi–O. After h 470°C, thickness (magnetite scale Fe3O4) ranged from about 10 20 μm. three decreases sequence: EP823, Optifer IV. presence silicon Russian (≈2 %) reduces growth. Results show that present level content is suitable ensuring stable protection against liquid metal corrosion least period.
