摘要: The area postrema is one of the circumventricular organs, lacks a blood–brain barrier, and well known as chemoreceptor trigger zone for emesis. Area neurons are sensitive to emetic chemical substances carried in blood plasma. Our previous study demonstrated presence 3 types characterized by different ion channels expressed each cell type, but type or involved induction nausea and/or emesis have remained unclear. To clarify role most populous cells, which express hyperpolarization-activated cation channel (H-channel), emesis, we investigated effects ZD7288 (an H-channel inhibitor) on apomorphine-induced conditioned taste aversion (CTA) saccharin c-Fos expression postrema. We found that inhibited acquisition CTA reduced postrema, indicating involvement cells expressing H-channels Finally, discuss mechanism vomiting.
