摘要: Abstract The quadratic valence force field derived in Part I of this study for perfect trans-polyacetylene is used and adapted the doping-induced IR absorption polyacetylene. lattice dynamics a one-dimensional disordered system treated with introduction structural defects to represent doping sites. Concentration, distribution, size inhomogeneity are all considered. Two models analyzed; one representing “soliton” other, equally acceptable on chemical grounds, centro-symmetric defects. It concluded that spectrum observed doped polyacetylene does not provide unequivocal evidence existence solitons. Alternative explanations from spectroscopic viewpoint. information spectra discussed detail.
