摘要: Twenty species of bryozoans are described from the Simsima Formation (Late Campanian–Maastrichtian) at six sites in United Arab Emirates–Oman border region, extending Jebel Huwayyah south to Faiyah north. Most encrust rudists and algal rhodoliths. Although surface preservation is poor moderate, sufficient material available warrant description four new species: Conopeum wilsoni sp. nov., Wilbertopora cheethami Tyloporella smithi Monoceratopora whybrowi nov. A survey latest Cretaceous bryozoan faunas shows fauna be unusual coming a tropical palaeolatitude. Indeed, only other Campanian–Maastrichtian tropics comes underlying Qahlah Formation. Compared with contemporaneous higher latitudes northern southern hemispheres, contains few erect taxa but genera present all found these latitudes; there no indication endemic genera, or early appearances that later spread beyond tropics.
