Iron source effect on BaFe12O19 preparation through citrate route

摘要: Both magnetization and coercivity should be controlled on BaFe12O19 for its usage in magnetic recording. Preparation of was studied citrate route by changing the kinds iron source. Stoichiometric mixtures compounds with Ba(NO3)2 were dissolved distilled water. They mixed citric acid aqueous solution then condensed a hot plate to their gelatinous products. Their prefired products below 450°C pelletized fired temperature range between 750 900°C. The product from nitrate mixture α-Fe2O3, BaFe2O4 small amount BaFe12O19. Fe(acac)3 pure fine powder crystallite size < 90 nm. powdered at 850°C had saturation 58.5 emu·g-1 5.5 kOe.
