摘要: Hummock grasses in the genus Triodia R. Br. were examined at 116 recently burned locations across mainland Australia, and recorded as regenerating by resprouting, or seed only. Prior to this survey it was known that capacity resprout varies considerably Triodia, but unclear whether some species might be entirely resprouting other fire-killed; associated with particular traits of landscape types; more common regions such northern monsoonal grasslands. Seven had both fire-killed populations represented among sites examined. Three [T. basedowii E. Pritzel, T. marginata N.T. Burbidge melvillei (C.E. Hubbard) Lazarides] all examined, five bynoei Lazarides, bunicola (S.W.L. Jacobs) intermedia Cheel, molesta spicata Burbidge] sites. Another seven one site There no clear overall trend for prevalent south rather than north, east vs west, coastal inland parts continent. No relationships found between regeneration strategy attributes. Considered a group, likely have an open growth form dense form, whereas opposite true species. Given trait either consistent correlate inference is vary different fires, even given population site. Against inference, substantial densities seedlings much often. Longitudinal studies would needed demonstrate directly varied fires site, investigate implications maintenance extinction local populations.
